Aerial Photography Canada, GIS photo, Vertical and Oblique Canada photo SKYMETRO began acquiring skills in the art/science of aerial
photography in March of 1986. Since then, our goal has been to
become the regions premier aerial photography firm. In 1996
considerable progress towards that end was made as we upgraded our
35mm SLRs to medium and large format cameras, and now Digital.

We use helicopters (rotor wing) or fixed wing aircrafts. The inherent
vibration (and thus loss of sharpness) these aircraft transmit to the
camera was eliminated with the design and fabrication of special bolt
on gear. Three 6x7 bodies, (the largest field camera commercially
available) has allowed SkyMetro to generate what we believe are
some of the finest Maritime aerial images in today's market.Our digital
capabilities now give us the quality required, yet still capture high
quality scans from our large image librairy

We typically fly several times each week (weather permitting) using a
JetRanger helicopter or a Cessna 172 high wing aircraft. We have
scanning, digital image manipulation and tiling in house.
